Behram -bey's madrasah in Tuzla-Behram-begova medresa

The mosque of Behram-bey’s madrasah in Tuzla, is one of the new realisations of the post-war architecture of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The origins of Behram-bey’s mosque and Behram-bey’s madrasah date back centuries to the Ottoman rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The current location of the mosque and the madrasah differs from the original site; their location has been shifting slowly, throughout the centuries.Behram-bey’s madrasah, the theological school, was closed during socialist Yugoslavia. It reopened during the war, 1992-1995, in the former mining school, a late Modernist building from the era of social realism. Soon, it became obvious that theological education could not be conducted in such an inappropriate building. Also, the obligatory namaz or sallat (obligatory prayer) of pupils and teachers five times a day demanded a separate mosque.

Salam,
Thank you for visiting my blog, Princess Najeeba.Glad tofind a blogger from Bosnia.
The hijabed uniform of the girls looks elegant. I think it wouldn't look that beautiful without the hijab. What do you call those type of dresses, the long frocks? It was really nice. But I didn't find the hijabs of the fashion show very good. And also that of the TV anchor.
BTW, I have put your blog on my bloglist. Hope you don't mind. And please add mine to your blog if you find it good enough. Thank you in advance.
Najeeba.

As salamu aleikum wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatuhu.
Mashaa Allah wa al hamduLillahi! What a beautiful Islamic school, with those uniform!!
Think...in Italy we cannot build a real mosque (our mosques are located in stores or in others local), when we tried with an Islamic school...it was closed after a short time, mashaa Allah.
We can only pray the situation will change, insha Allah.
My sister...thank you for your visit in "Fussilat".

mashallah, every1 looks very beautiful...I didnt know that there were so many practising muslims in Bosnia. (plz excuse my ignorance)Im very interested in the history of Islam in Bosnia, tho, u mention Ottoman rule, is this the only influence of islam there or have there been other influences? for example u call salah "namaz". thats persian also. So if u know anything about the history of islam pls do a post on it. It will be much appreciated.

The girls in hijab looks stunning and I really love the graduation dresses. *mine wasn't as nice.* Initially, I thought that the girls just did a performance of some sort because everyone looks so lovely. So you are now residing in Egypt?

Salam,
MashaAllah these girls are so beautiful with their hijabs and such smart styles as well.

I am a South African sister, so I do get confused when you all say HIJAB...
If I am correct Hijab = Scarf
and Niqab = Face veil....
am I right?

Here in S.A. we say HIJAB for the entire garb, I mean the Abaya, Shayla and Niqab.

May ALLAH grant you and all these pretty girls the ability to someday soon COVER those pretty faces with the NIQAB...Ameen

Alhamdulillah when one wears the Niqab it is such a protection from everything bad and evil.

Let me tell you something.....
when my mom, my 3 sisters and I
saw this we were just toooooo amazed!

Keep strong sister and may ALLAH help you with each and every footstep in your life.
Ameen.

Your sister in Islam,
Rayyan

Assalamu alaikum.

I think these students, all of them, look so pretty. I was also very impressed to see the beauty of your country. Masha Allah, you have managed to keep it clean and pretty. I am from Indian Occupied Kashmir and it is also very beautiful, but not so clean yet. As long as the Indians are there they will ensure it remains bad. Insha Allah, one day soon, we will also live in our own coutry with dignity like you do.

I have a special connect with Bosnia. When I lived in Boulder, Colorado, USA, I helped resettle many Bosnian refugees there. They all loved me and made me their friend. I used to eat in their homes like one of their own. I have not seen my Bosnian friends in many years because I have moved on to other places but I have fond memories of the time I spent with them. My relatives are still in Colorado and they tell me that my Bosnian friends still enquire about me. My heart does long to meet them again. Insha Allah, one day soon....

My best wishes to you and I wish all the best to your people.

Salaam,
Well i am Indian working(Dubai), Islam have one rule on Hijab, the style of wearing hijab is depend on the culture and community where People live.
How they ispired Islam.. & its belong parts.

My mother & sisters always wear Hijab when they going to public or outside..

Holy Quran is word of Allah, no one can change it or after.

We the people ..who ...ignore such a thing in the name of Development, Modern, Fashion, Style...

Beauty is not a quality... Allah only looking to our Heart ..THAT BEAUTY will meet Allah.(Insha Allah)
